No prior FPV or combat experience required. Open to motivated participants 18+. Good physical condition and valid passport are necessary.

About the Course

The FPV Operator – Level 1: Foundations is a 10-day intensive that combines FPV fundamentals with tactical medicine, firearms safety, and small-unit tactics. Training is delivered by Ukrainian combat veterans and follows a “learn by doing” approach — moving from classroom and simulators to live flights and integrated field scenarios.

Schedule (subject to change)

  • Days 1–2: Orientation, fitness assessment, firearms safety, basic TCCC.

  • Days 3–5: FPV fundamentals — engineering basics, system setup, simulator flights, first live missions.

  • Days 6–7: Tactical movement, dynamic shooting drills, night operations.

  • Days 8–9: Integrated scenarios combining FPV, firearms, and casualty evacuation.

  • Day 10: Final qualification exam and graduation.

Requirements

  • Valid passport and travel clearance to Ukraine.

  • Ability to handle moderate physical training.

  • Personal travel & medical insurance (mandatory).

  • Personal comfort gear (mandatory): FPV goggles, gloves, uniforms/boots, tactical clothing, and essentials for outdoor training.

Equipment Provided

All FPV drones, controllers, simulators, medical kits, and firearms are provided by Ghosts Academy.

Meals

Three meals per day included (canteen, field kitchen, or MREs during exercises).

Accommodation

Lodging varies by training phase to provide realism and comfort:

  • Tents for field training/night ops,

  • Guest houses near the range,

  • Hotels during prep and recovery phases.

Duration & Group Size

10 days, full-time intensive. Up to 16 participants. Instructor-to-student ratio: 1:4.

Certificate

Graduates receive the Ghosts Academy Certificate – FPV Operator Level 1.

Safety

Training occurs in secure areas of Kyiv region, far from the frontline. Strict safety protocols apply to FPV, firearms, medical, and night activities.

Transfers

Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, we provide secure, escorted transfers from Warsaw, Poland, including assistance with border crossing and return transport after graduation.

Additional Information (U.S. participants)

  • Instruction in English; translation support available.

  • Invitation letters provided to facilitate travel.

  • Unique opportunity to train with Ukrainian combat veterans under battlefield-tested standards.

Insurance & Liability

Participants must carry personal travel/health insurance. Ghosts Academy maintains rigorous safety standards but cannot assume liability beyond the scope of training.
